Morning MD, enjoy the nice day. Can't wait to get my Tacoma back. 20230403_122503.jpgIt's been in the shop for almost 3 weeks, waiting on parts.

Yep, completely rear- ended. I'm sure the driver is going to receive a nice letter from their insurance company, either raising or canceling their insurance policy. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they read that letter. Lol

Dang, when it’s almost same time to get a steel bumper than parts from Toyota…

That’s a shame Mason is a good person. Can’t we all just scroll through something instead of knee jerk reacting to something. I’m done rant over. Everyone have a good day.

Anyone have an all aluminum radiator installed? Cracked my radiator and wanted to know if they were worth it?

I’ve run a couple Fluidyne aluminum radiators in some different applications… a turbo 2000 Civic Si and an 1975 K5 Blazer with an 383. Are they worth the money? Yes and no. If you are putting a lot of stress on your vehicle and the added cooling factor of a larger volume radiator that disperses heat much faster is something you need for extreme off-roading or hauling, then yes. If you’re looking at one for just the cool factor, I’d say yes to that too. But from a price standpoint, and having zero use… f-it, why not. Well, guess there really isn’t a reason not to. If you’re replacing it, I always say improve it!!

My radiator cracked from wheeling most likely. Found too much conflicting info on them ranging from fitment issues to they actually overheat more than oem. I pretty heavy with a full decked system and steel bumper. I just went oem. If it cracks again I’ll give aluminum a try.

That stinks. I hope that the body shop makes it 100% back to pre-accident condition.

Me too. Not real happy that it's standard practice to use aftermarket parts vs. genuine OEM. Hopefully they will be up to the same standards as Toyota OEM.
