Well it’s not her truck right?? lol just kidding, that’s a good point about Father’s Day.

It’s tough to even pick what to do next because there are so many options. It keeps me busy though and it’s definitely a fun hobby.

 

I know right. I’ve don’t a lot of things I’ve wanted and really only have a few expensive or unlikely things I’m looking at. Roof rack, scooped hood and snorkel. Maybe extended brake lines but they’re not really needed. I’ve done a lot but have not taken my truck really off road since then

 

Morning MD. Packing up all my goods this morning for an early afternoon departure for Arnold, MD.

 

Oohh nice. I had a Prinsu but I really hated it so I got rid of it almost immediately lol, plugging up the holes on the roof after I sold it was an absolute nightmare.

Tires are gonna be next for me but I have to wait a bit, I want to get some more miles out of my Grabbers first because they’re still really solid.

 

I ordered the Delrin one. Not sure with the tune what difference it may make. Figured I'g give it a try before looking at a custom tune to try to get a bit more out of the RPM range in 5th (specifically) when pulling hills.

I'm trying to knock out the last few big repairs to the '88 GMC before I go back to work on Monday. I'm also in the mindset that it's beyond time to find a better suited place to call home, the current state administration isn't very conducive to my lifestyle.



My 1st time tearing into a TBI engine, it wasn't much different from the old school carbureted small block.

 

I think we need a thread title change, as most of the people who hang out in here seem to dislike MD

 

I’ve heard a few people didn’t like them for various reasons, you’re probably one of them lol. I doubt I’ll get one anytime soon unless there is a great deal on one. They’re just expensive and I’d really not have much use from it.

Good idea on the tires. I’ve got a long life left on mine as well. At the rate I’m going, maybe 3 or 4 years.

 

I have the Martin Offroad Rack. 100% the function/quality of the prinsu, 50% of the price.

This recently happened just blocks from my old job in Canton. I know crime happens everywhere but damn Baltimore's crime is outrageous and only getting worse. Kids killing honest hardworking people for no reason, its sad. I don't miss Baltimore at all.

 

How lovely.

As much as I tried to give this state a chance, I find very few positives.

 

The cost of living here ruins everything. The housing costs and the taxes taken from each pay check...add the interest rates for homes nowadays....If we bought a house, I'd hate feeling like I'm almost poor living in a dual-6-figure-income household with no kids. I'm not kidding when it'd take close to half our take-home income to have even a basic house. Sure the salaries are great but we lose a lot in mandatory deductions in pay. I could spend less to get some kinda house here local, but I'm 50...and want a place that doesn't feel like 'just something to get by'...I want a home. meh...

I'm taking interviews from other states in the coming weeks - and I'm thinking I'll be moving out of state towards the end of the summer. And it sucks because I have never had a better job than where i'm at.

 

I took a BIG paycut when I left Baltimore and moved here to WV. But now everything I own is paid for and the wife & I are content. I've learned as I'm getting older there's alot more to life than making money and having possessions. I don't need a fancy new truck or a big house. Im happy with a small cabin and a old ass $500 tacoma.

 

I hear you and agree. just looking to be settled. Without being broke.

 

I’m with you. I pay more in taxes to Maryland than I did in California. Go figure.
