Where do you plan to use it?

Have you tried searching the forum for that specific brake controller? I think there are threads for most of the popular models.

 

Good morning MD. I slept in until 4:55 today.

Nice to hear someone talk about towing without complaining on here! Nice looking boat! How much does that thing weigh?

Cadoris Park is about a 20 couple minute ride from the house… it’s right over the line in Hanover, PA. It’s a beautiful park and lake. Sadly, I was only able to get a 20hp Merc on it because the lake is restricted to a 20hp max. But it’s nice because you don’t have all the noise and people ripping around creating a ton of chop and wake. The lake is almost always like glass!

As for the Tekonsha P3 controller… I have been googling it a lot. Found a couple postings on here of others having same issues. But not a lot of follow-up posts of what the end verdict was. Some saying check ground wire for controller. Others saying check magnets on trailer. Even people buying multiple different controllers to try and fix… but again, not a lot of follow-up. I’m good with wiring new things up, I have a mechanical degree, but electronic diagnosis and troubleshooting have been a bit of a weakness for me.

Tracker has it rated around 3.5k depending on the packages and engine options. I’m guessing I’m just tipping over 3k.

And yes, truck did beautifully! A good bit of hills and backroads between Carroll Co and Harrisburg… and she ran them like a champ. And without brakes! Like I said earlier, we had a last minute issue with the P3 controller, so all the brakes on trailer were out and everything was now falling on the Yota’s braking system. They did great as well. We did hit some construction zones on 15S and there was a lot of speed up, slow down happening. Did notice a slight bit of brake pedal getting soft after repeated 55-0 mph stops. These little trucks surprise me all the time!! Love them!

Anyone have a set of silver SR5 rims that would want to trade for an MGM set of SR5 rims? I will pay for breakdown, install and balancing and give you $100 for your hassle. My MGM rims are in perfect shape with no scratches or rash. Im tired of the monochromatic look and I am tired of searching for SEMA 4runner rims.
