Yeah, that insane cross over exhaust pipe that ran from the pass side, behind the block and dumped straight into the drivers side exhaust pipe at the manifold flange was exactly the spot where the head gaskets failed. Toyota got that design really wrong. I had a late '88 truck with that engine. Besides being gutless below 4K, ( who am I trying to kid, it was gutless at any RPM ) it went through 2 head gaskets under warranty before I traded it in on a '94 reg cab 4x4 with a 4 banger.

 

Oh trust me, I was extremely depressed when I had to leave there lol

It kinda blows we let our municipalities use salt on the roads. We could switch to sand/dirt or something else probably. But moving out of salt-states is generally a good thing anyway

 

The salt is also terrible for local ecosystems. My brother lived up near Lake Placid, and some of the lakes up there basically have a dead brine layer at the bottom because of all the salt.

 

That kinda stuff too - and yet we let them convince us to keep using it. *sigh. Will say no more cuz I don't want a month-long vaca from here.

 

Anyone here do woodworking and want a radial arm saw? I’m tired of trying to sell it and just want it to go to someone who isn’t going to throw it away. I’m in Bowie.

I had my dealer do it, Jones Junction, when I bought the truck. I’m sure yours will as well.

 

Gotta be careful in that place, there are a lot of dark corners where the quiet part gets said real loud.

 

Spikey thingy in the middle spins really quick and turns one piece of wood into two pieces of wood. Can also turn one hand into multiple hands.

But yea I can show you how to use it a bit. I never really messed with it too much though. I used it instead of setting up my miter saw when I needed to cut something real quick

 

Yeah I have read through some of those threads in the past doing research. I am still deciding on what product I want to use. It just seems a bit quick to be starting already.

Yeah I plan on coating it with something just didn't realize I needed to have it immediately put on a trailer and coated within 24 hours of being delivered.

I agree! Most of the time a plow and 24 hours and the sun would take care of it on the roads. Not worth the environmental damage.
