    Here's my stupid question of the day: I know jack shit about oil. I'm doing my 35k oil change today and am planning on switching to synthetic from dino oil. Is there a big difference in Full synthetic and synthetic blend? I've been using Mobil 1 conventional and am planning on sticking with the same brand..

    I dont know the science but I use a full synthetic oil and I usually run it for about 4 thousand miles between changes and it still looks clean on dipstick compared to conventional oil at 3g's

    Hmm. yea i'll probably use full, just the blend is a little cheaper but I didn't know if there was really a difference. I'm sure it wouldn't matter as long as it's all the same brand and changed regularly, but seeing as how my truck turned 1 year old last sunday and I've already got 36K on it.. I need this thing to last a while. haha
