Wife is still sleeping...she'll get mad if I let her sleep in too long.

While I was brewing coffee...I hosed down the deck. Why you ask?

Wife thought is was a good idea to get some bird feeders so our cats can look out the deck glass doors and bird watch.

Well, those little guys make a mess dropping food and poopin' on the deck/patio chair frames.

I'm glad I have patio storage box to stow my chair cushions and other things!

I'm in the mood for French toast...there is some thick bread that needs to be eaten before it molds. lol

We're looming at redoing our deck in the next 2-3 years in order to expand it and wrap to meet our other door. We also want to put out a 3 season room so the cats can enjoy birds, and I can enjoy a cigar under cover when it rains.

PS - if you have cap'n crunch, grind it into a powder and you can use it to batter your french toast. Comes out amazing every time!

I removed the old boards and replaced them in 2017...I believe. My son-in-law painted the deck but the floor boards are starting to peel.

It will do for the time being...the roof is our next major project.

No Captain Crunch in the cupboards...more like Raisin Bran...lol.

    Thanks!

It's a good-sized yard. I'm glad my wife approved a riding mower for my 6-yr USAF retirement anniversary back on April 1, 2017.

Hi all, just joined the MD Taco Gang. I was wondering where are the best places to go off-roading around here. I'm going to get the Assateague island pass for sure, as I love fishing. Any other ideas? I saw some trails in West Virginia as well.

Gorgeous yard! We knocked the roof off when we moved in, first year needed a new roof because it was original to house, built in 77. We moved here in 2020 lol.

For the mower, I bough a John Deere D140 woth 48" deck off my neighbor for $500. Needed new belts, new steering gears and linkage, paint to stop the rust, clean out the ant and mouse nests, and replace some rusted hardware. About 8 man hours, a busted knuckle, and $200 worth of parts and the bad boy was ready to roll!

    John,

You definitely utilized your mechanical skills!

I bought the Husqvarna 42" when it was $1399 at Lowe's...with a 10% Military discount too in 2017!

Now, that mower is selling for twice that! Here's a pic of my last oil change...I need to change the spark plug today.

iDatalink Maestro recently released support for 2023 Tacoma , now I can finally install the Kenwood DMX1057XR that I had in my 2019. The audio is superb and the 10" screen is a huge improvement over stock. Time to start looking for speakers :spending:

I had this pole barn with a 6" concrete floor built in 2017 for $15k. Almost triple that to have the same building built today. It's ridiculous!

Last night was quiet. Currently looking if Discount can get me some bigger tires so I can feel more confident when not on pavement.

Bigger is less important than 'more traction' - even at that size you can give the truck a massive advantage off road. My favourite AT-ish tire is the Discoverer S/T MAXX. Those that came with my truck performed admirably in OK/AR red-mud situations and were solid in every other aspect. For someone who wants a much-better-over-stock tire without needing to cut/trim/worry about other aspects, I'd suggest checking them out.
