i had a t4r, i understand wanting the power liftgate. i'm short, felt like i was spinning the wheel on the price is right every time i closed it. i have a gx now. i like the barn door style but i also miss having shade. i just spent a week with a new rx and i thought i'd love it, but i ended up hating every second. i turned off as many of the drivers assist alerts as i could but it would still yell at me to pay attention if i was talking to my husband, or beep at me about approaching traffic when i was trying to pull out onto a busy road. and one time almost sent us through the windshield when it slammed on the brakes when we were trying to leave a parking garage

 

My wife is stubborn too. After I crashed her 2013 Rav4 she only wanted another one. But she's not complaining about the mpg. Just the center console. I think you can get a gas version too

Then she thought she wanted a Corolla Cross, but its basically a tall ceiling Corolla. Smaller inside than the Rav.

I like the redesign Honda. And even the Passport. But once you start adding packages, the price climbs quick.

 

That Rx sounds terrible lol. She does not like the barn door style and I didn’t realize they had them anymore.
It’s fun trying to shop around for her.

@fatfurious2 its kind of funny, we’ve had no real issues with her Rogue but she does not want another Nissan either, like a Pathfinder or the Murano or Amada. So I’m not even sure if they are reliable.
I remember that the Rouge had all the nice things she wanted when we bought it and the competition didn’t at the same price point.

Yes, that’s the one! It’s the grand highlander. I had to tell her it completely different than the highlander. We’ve not seen it in person yet but I have high hopes she’ll like it

I like the one dealer near us that offers lifetime oil changes and a few other things when you buy from them so I’m hoping they’ll get some soon. I reached out to the guy that sold me my truck and am just waiting to hear back.

 

i haven't looked closely at it, but i'm working on a new tacoma and saw them at the dealer. if i weren't trying to downsize from the gx i'd seriously consider it

So I went to my spine specialist today… herniated L5 and S1 disc with Stenosis. Pinched and heavily inflamed sciatic nerve. They tripled my meds for the moment, and gave me an appointment to start my spinal injections on the 12th. And only a month shy of my 40th birthday… can’t wait to see what 50 has to offer!

 

Check out the Buick Enclave vs the Acadia. Same frame but more room. The 3.6 is smooth and fairly quick. She had a 2013 Terrain and it wasn't bad.

 

Same with me herniated L5 S1. Damn, you're still a youngin. I'll be 50 in January. Hopefully the injections help you. I had 2 rounds of injections and both times the pain was back the next day.

 

I really hope that’s not the case… but everything you’ve said and described, it’s like you’re telling my story so far word for word. Ugh!!
