I know the feeling lol, I somehow made it through the entire first half of this year without buying anything for the truck.

 

Also, I really should replace 2 of my tires

and stupid tires are over 300 each now

 

Ugh I know, if tires weren’t all so expensive now I probably would have already gone up to a 285/75/16 all terrain.

How many miles do you have on those 2 ST Maxxs that are all worn down?

 

i think about 20K. They should not be that worn.
I’m sure I missed a rotation or 2 and must have driven more with a bad alignment than I thought.

 

That’ll do it I guess, although I’m still surprised they’re that worn. I would have guessed like 60K based on looking at the pics lol

I’m still contemplating them as my next tire, it sounds like usually people are getting a lot of miles out of them.

 

yea, maybe they were a little softer than normal. I’m keeping an eye for a used set if I can get them cheaper too.

For now, I’ll be keeping them on the front and just swapping side to side. Everything I read said the rear on RWD wear faster. Maybe it’ll slow the wear down some.

 

Oh that’s interesting, I’d never heard that about RWD but that makes sense now that I think about it.

This is what stopped me from any future mods for a while as well. Have 265/265/17 but need to replace them with the fattest I can go without scraping.

 

At one point I was literally considering buying a tire every like 3 months until I had 4 lol

 

Lol I figured I’ll take an affirm loan out and just get brand new ones. My tread is fine but the dry rot is worrisome. I figure I’ll be able to hold off until winter comes around.

 

That’s smart, I’ve used affirm before for some stuff and it’s a pretty nice tool.

 

Same, think this idea will be at the very end of list of things I still want to do. I don’t plan on ever going in that deep of water anyway, so it’s more less an esthetic modification than anything for function. I’ve had my wheels for months now and still haven’t bought rubber for them bc I’m waiting for $$$ to drop some. Missing the past two weeks straight of work for two herniated discs in my back isn’t helping the funds situation either.

Do you have any type of intake upgrade at all yet… or still running OEM air box? I’m sure any intake mod would improve your tune, with increased airflow.

That’s a negative, stock intake for me. But Even the CAI worthwhile are a little heavy on the wallet.
