Best I can get for now but ended up driving 16 hours to Wisconsin before I raised the flag. 2 hour at a rest stop and feelin like Ric Flair. 8 hours to badlands, camp and hike a little in the morning then a 6er to the new home

There’s no answer for this question other than for you to simply purchase an adjustable drop hitch… then you can set it up for however you’d like. There are a lot of factors that account for the fixed height hitch you may need… truck height, trailer tongue height, payload of trailer, how many axles does the trailer have, how much will your specific suspension squat with the trailer… BW makes great adjustable hitches. Or borrow a buddies, hook up to the new trailer and start estimating from there.

I can tell you now… my old 2” drop hitch that worked amazing for my single axle yard trailer (8x16) was absolutely horrible for the new boat trailer which is a tandem with brakes and needs to sit flat. Single axle with 1500 pounds of crap is a lot different than a tandem with 3500+ pounds of pontoon. Not to mention the truck squat difference.

Awesome property, congrats! It's a great area of Southern PA

When I was looking at hitches for my '15, I ended up going with a Curt class IV and I used a factory OEM trailer wiring harness. It was a bit on the pricy side, but it fit absolutely perfectly onto the frame and into the cab. It had the benefit of being on it's own fused circuit instead of tapping into the tail light harness. Well worth the extra $$, in my opinion.

I didn't know that there are tunes for the 2.7, I need to look at that because my Taco is downright pathetic when I try to pull the utility trailer with it.

I appreciate the answers both of you. And I appreciate you being nice about it. Sounds like me trying to be prepared is just a waste until I know what I need to pull. Likely it will be my FIL’s trailer so I will get details first.

Multi quote isn’t working so let’s try it the old fashion way. @Gen1TacoLady they love this thing so much they rather fit on the passenger side rather than spread out behind me. @DetroitDarin en route to Wyoming! @paulisinataco freaking awesome man, I’m like 4 hours from salt lake. Look forward to hearing from ya! @2ndhandTacoman yes sir, if you look at overland tailor tunings website the closest vendor to me was a lad in orange, va. Cool dude and he’s located next to a solid Mexican food truck
Update: camped at badlands and the tent held up despite the combative wind. The next time I write I will be at my new home, very grateful.

So cool - congratulations! Wyoming is, in a word, breathtaking. The PupShelf looks fantastic - might even consider going that route - easier to clean than my fabric rear seats.

Just wondering because I’m ready to swap out my mobtown skids. Was looking at RCI or CBI. Leaning towards CBI since it’s compatible with the TRD skid.

I went RCi because it was cheaper, and not $300 shipping :annoyed:
