Im trying to remember now if there’s any rhyme or reason to when mine does it.

I do remember it happening twice specifically after I had done trails that involved water crossings. So that would be kind of like your rain/snow occurrences and maybe explain the link to corrosion.

And on the topic of ridiculous and inefficient vehicles, I saw a Cybertruck out in the wild today. The thing was hideous. Legitimately looked like it was built with sheet metal in an amateur fabricators garage.

Simply disgusting what people are willing to pay for shit. I am not even of retirement age and already am full-crotchety when it comes to people participating in absurd pricing of cars and trucks.

Miss this freaking thread man! Quick question, any of y’all have spacers on only the rear? Thinking of picking a pair up in CO

    Morning all, happy Friday finally!!

Can’t say the rear, but for about two years, I was only running them in the front. I always found it nice how my ‘75 K5 Blazer was wider in the front than the rear. When wheeling the tires would have different contact points as to not dig in and make deeper ruts… less chance theoretically of getting stuck. Either way, I decided to do it to the Taco. Never had any issues. But I’m not sure if I would want the rear wider…?? When cornering at highway speeds, I’d want a wider front for sure than rear. That said, I can’t imagine 1.25” (SpiderTrax) on each side would make that much difference.

Took my wife out to test drive a Grand Highlander. Luckily, the one in stock didn’t have everything she wants but I think the Grand Highlander will be her choice.

I’ve seen that they already make a lift for it, only a 1” spacer lift but I don’t think that will change the ride quality at all. So that will be planned as well plus some knobby tires. Make it look like this one but in red-

Ya know, I had a spacer "lift" on my Expedition and while I didn't really wheel it, driving through michigan snow and romps out on the acerage, the truck performed perfectly. I liked how non-lifted it felt - was nearly stock-feeling. The truck's purpose was to get me through the worst of what weather can be and it worked fine.

Good luck with the purchase, It's gonna be great!

Thanks. All great comments. I don’t remember hating the ride of my 2006 Tacoma with a spacer lift either.

They don’t have one in stock or allotted that she wants so it might be a few months but we’re in no rush. There are no other dealers with what she wants either that they can trade for.

That’s a good looking truck! I use my bed once a month or so, so I can say I use it like a truck lol. Sometimes I gotta carry stuff for work too so that helps. GLWS on that.

the ride felt great. It was a short test drive and my wife didn’t really push the car. Lots of neat features on there and the moon roof is huge, if you like those. Camera and screen was really nice. I didn’t notice the digital rear view mirror or play with the terrain selector. Lots of room in it too. Feels like what should be expected for a high trim car.

I’ll add, that we only spent 20 min in there so, I probably didn’t have time to notice things that could erk some people or notice cheap interior. It didn’t look cheap. We were also in the lowest trim, gas only model.
