It is absolutely lovely. The only two cons I want to note is 1) the freaking wind and subzero weather when it's not even winter yet. 2) the elevation change. I think I'm slowly getting used to it but running wire or pipe hundreds of yards away..... Sheeeshhhhh

 

gives your lungs time to adjust too!

 

Looks like a staple or nail in one of my tires… not leaking, so it might not be all the way through.

 

Meanwhile in SoCal they complain when it’s sub 60 degrees. We get people wearing pants and multiple jackets, and I’m walking around in shorts and a t shirt.

 

I lived in Wyoming for several years. Nothing like it, beautiful country. Enjoy

 

Going from the coopers to the stock wheels and tires was a little sad….

 

Greetings all - I was out at the house today for the seller’s barn sale - I am dreaming of if/when this gets covered in snow…

Did I miss something? Are you gonna sell/trade it for the new rig?

 

No, well not yet, maybe next year or the year after... The coopers are really low tread on 2 tires, almost to the wear marks, and probably not great if we have a wet winter. Decided to swap them out till spring. Should get another season before I need to replace the two tires.

 

I had forgotten that my trucks ride can be nice, smooth and vibration free. I think the wheels must have been causing vibrations and make the ride feel a lot stiffer than it actually is.


Also, anyone hear from @$500TRD Dave lately?

 

Hmmm that makes me wonder what my truck would drive like if I went back to street tires. I sold those a long time ago though so that’s not an option lol, not that I would. It does make me curious though, I’m sure I’ve gotten used to a rough ride and don’t even notice it anymore.

 

i was a little surprised by it. After I take it to work cruising at different speeds for long periods I’ll know for sure.

Bad news, I don’t think 16” wheels will fit on the 24s…. But I dont know that 100%

 

Really?? Wow that would be surprising. To me at least lol.

It does seem like there are less and less options for 16” wheels as time goes by

 

I could have made that up since I can’t find anything about it. Supposedly the 24 trail hunter has 35” tires. At least, one of the people that saw and commented on a static version.

If I do get new tires, I’m going to try and stick with a lower than E range, C, I think. Maybe a 31 or 32” tire if I can find anything good.

 

35’s from the dealership would be insane!
