Same here. I drove my 4runner to work & back daily and to WV every weekend for years with historic plates, never a issue. Nice no emissions and only $52 bucks for the registration every 2 years.

 

John retired in January. He sold the B-more house and bought a place in NC, (I think). Yes, all G-code. Haven't taken the written test but I can use the "Machinist Handbook" so shouldn't be an issue.

I think my interest in a shiny trail hunter might be gone lol….

65k price tag… that’s twice what I paid for my 2020 off road. (My off road had no extra packages, only a tonneau cover)

 

I mean, you can do what the rest of 3rd genners are doing and build an SR5.

 

but I need things I’ll never have to use, like a rear locker

I do want the heads up display… those are nice! (Only on the limited and above tho )

 

Exactly why I just stuck with an SR5. I never "used" the ones on my Offroads. Only time I used it was to turn it on to exercise the system

 

But the TH has cool things

I’ll have to watch the reviews and impression videos during lunch.

 

Have you actually gone offroading in it? I just used mine last weekend. I've used it when one wheel is hanging off a ledge and has no traction, or when one is stuck spinning in the snow/mud

Sounds like the SR5 is the truck for you!

I've seen a number of folks who get a SR5 and then do it up to be as offroad as possible, and I've seen folks who buy the offroad and never stray from the mall parking lot

 

Id like to off-road more… but then I go out and decide I’d rather be inside


Also some issues that prevent me from doing fun stuff, and not my wife or kid

 

That's insane. I'm perfectly happy with my 2017, as long as people stop rear-ending me, lol.

 

It really is insane. I mean, yeah, I guess I understand, dealer prices for all the cool shit, HUD, roof rack, bed rack (not sure if racks are standard), high set air intake, onboard air, rear arb bumper, generator mode, OME 2.5 suspension with comfort something or other, cameras, and umm, seat bar disconnect and skids. I’m sure more I’m missing some things.


but not really about people rear ending you. Hope they stop too.
