3 is pretty impressive. I could buy 2 of my 2020 ORs for the price of a TH.

 

If I were to get a 4th gen, id get a base manual. Who knows when those are going to be released

I *almost* got them for my T4R last month. I was making a dump run in the firewood truck just before the MVA appointment and was denied access to the landfill because of the Historic tags on Prudence. If I had gotten the Historics for the T4R, I wouldn't have anything to pull the trailer full of dump goodness.

Good for him, I leaned a lot from that guy. Was 'Uncle Larry' still hanging around?

That one trip to AOAA with some forum members a few years ago, we were on a steep hill on the backside of the park. Near the top of the hill, there was a diagonal ditch cutting across the trail. I was the last one to cross, someone was doing some spotting. My suspension got crossed up and I lost traction. The spotter was telling me to back up and give it a bump. I said, I'll just use the 'cheat' button and hit the locker switch. Ole crusty T4R walked right through the ditch! It was the only time I used it the whole day. A few weeks later I went to Colorado and it got used a lot out there! Outside of that, it probably got used a few times in the 6 years that I've owned the T4R. Moral of the tale- it's better to have it and not use it then need it and not have it.

I never knew that. But I never went to the dump, I used the dumpster at my old job. Fortunately my new job has a dumpster too lol.

 

Me neither! I had used the firewood truck a few times to take junk there without issue, the last time I got stopped dead in my tracks. They claimed it's the law, the historic vehicle isn't supposed to be used for any work.. I can't count how many old F150's are running around Carroll County with lumber racks and pulling cargo trailers that are running Historic plates.

Yea trucks are stupid expensive now, no matter size or brand.

 

Yep, more than 30k over what I paid.

I was pretty sure I wanted to get a 24/25 but at that price, I dunno, that’s a really tough sell for something that would be nice to have.

Maybe an OR hybrid will be enough and just add the things I want… unless the TH is green for 25, I’ve always wanted a green truck…

 

The OR with options isn’t much better but the TH will probably be impossible to find.

 

That bed rack thingy has to go immediately lol

$40K is/was a decent threshold for me.

I'm glad the situation presented itself for me to buy in 2021.

 

I like to entertain buying a new one but I can’t I’m good conscience actually buy one.

I’ll just do more things to my truck.

I could upgrade everything I want besides things I can’t do (moonroof) plus buy a fuel efficient car for work with the money the TH would cost me
