The new ones are super cool and I definitely would have gone with a 4th gen if I was still in the market, but I really want to take my 3rd gen to moon miles or farther. I’ve always wanted to buy a truck new and keep it until its a really high mileage vehicle in really good condition. That was the plan with my 2013 Ram 1500 until it started doing Dodge things and I had to get rid of it

 

If he can afford that truck his price is going to be high.

Ok, let’s get some opinions. I’ve gotta move an outlet, which spot will look the best, 1,2,3 or 4. Currently, the box is not nailed into a stud hidden behind he granite sample at the bottom. Moving it to spots 2 or 4 will put it at the stud.

I don’t know of the switch wires are going up or down.

 

#4 looks the most aesthetically pleasing. I also think it's the only one allowed by code?

 

This is the one I was thinking about as well. There are no wires going along the stud on that side. I’ll probably have to slice wires from the outlet box to reach the new spot.

Is your truck gloss black, non metallic?

Not sure if you’re looking but there was a post with someone having a 2017 Black scooped hood looking for a swap. I’m 99% certain his is a gloss and not metallic like mine… so the swap
Won’t work for me.

 

My truck is the midnight black metallic, it’s the one with the blue flakes in it. I personally am not a fan of skewps unless they’re functional but I appreciate it anyway.

I’ll never forget when I was buying my truck, the salesmen was trying to get me to buy a sport they had on the lot instead of my SR5.

I asked him if the hood scoop was functional and he was like “oh yeah, definitely” and then I told him to pop the hood and he was less than pleased lol

Yeahh agreed. Although it was at that point that I realized I had found the weakest salesmen in the flock and I used that to my advantage and got a crazy deal on my truck lol so it all worked out.

 

Went with #4.

I lucked out as the wires ran from the switches to the outlet so there was plenty of wire and I didn’t have to splice. Got rid of the junction box and good to go.

There is no wire were the old box was, if anyone is an electrician and worries I covered a junction box with wires in there.

Same here. I think it was just we bought the plates at different times. I’ll get new ones that match next time I’m at Home Depot.
