Has anyone had their 60K mile service interval done recently at a dealership?

I’m curious what they’re charging these days if you do all the recommended items.

I don’t know but sounds expensive!

Might be best to call the local one to see and let them know what services you actually need. I’d guess about 8-1K

Looks like the big thing is the spark plugs, unless you’re considering your driving severe and will have diff, xfer and trans fluids changed. Maybe can find a TW member to help change them. Unless you’re the type that prefers to just pay the dealer to do things you’d rather not do. I get that, which is why I let them do the oil changes, that and they’re free.

Yeah that sounds about right, I’m having my usual shop do it all so I was curious to see how their pricing compares to the stealership

I’ve got a copy saved too!

I need to decide if I’m going to do the diff and xfer case fluid changes. I’ve only been off-road a handful of times and wouldn’t consider my driving severe.

Yeah it definitely sounds like you wouldn’t need to do the severe schedule.

I think with my super long over-2K-mile trips and my occasional off roading I definitely need to keep my truck on the severe schedule. Unfortunately for my wallet lol.

That’s really the only victim when doing services to the truck

I need to start thinking about checking my brake fluid to see if it needs to be changed. 4 years is about right to change it.

Are you still on the original brakes?

I haven’t done my brake fluid or brakes yet either. They suggested it for my 60K service but I do so many highway miles that I decided to wait a bit longer.

Yea, I think so too. I’ve not checked myself but there should be plenty.

if the brakes are like the 2ng gen, they are really easy to change

I had my diffs and brake fluid done during my 30k at a shop in FL for around $500 I think. I did my oil and filters myself. I figured I would have the diffs and fluid done since moving to the mountains. Last oil change I did was a complete mess. Need to figure out a cleaner way. I think i'm going to lower the front of my skid

As part of getting new tires, I’m going to increase my lift. I’ve been at about 2” lift for a year, or last alignment. I’m planning to set at about 2.75 lift. Should be enough that the cv ribs don’t rub but I have the special hose washers for the boot slide mod.

Going to join a few Broncos and Jeeps at Rausch Creek next month.

    That's nifty!

The twist-off makes it easy...wonder how easier it would work with a TRD Skid.

The valve on the Fumoto is a little tricky because it has to be pushed up and turned.

Fortunately for me, I have an Auto Hobby Shop on base and they dispose of the oil, filter and supplies.

I've been able to do mine at work with ramps from harbor freight. Don't think a taco can fit on a golf cart lift.
