Yes, isn't that all the sensor is used for?

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Not sure the sensor would get the signal past the metal.

Exactly, but cruise control is so useless on a 4 cyl, Id be willing to make that sacrifice. Only concerns is the light staying on

Yeah, blocking/disabling/disconnecting the Sensor would definitely sound off warnings on your dash.

My new tires were delivered. One thing I miss about my old job is I had use of the shop to work on my vehicles (i even used the shop on weekends to help TW members install their suspension lifts). Now I have to pay to have them mounted, balanced & a alignment. I usually run Duratracs on my yotas but they are over $300 per tire now so I bought these Cooper Discover A/T's for $160 each. I installed them on my wife's 4runner 3 years ago and no complaints so far.

I figured, briefly considered using a piece of tape to conceal the icon on the dash, that's how bad I wanted to make this work out haha

I'm saving cash until I have entire amount.

Than I can put on credit card and pay it off right away.

Look at the Lomax cover. Been super happy with mine. Around half the price of that Diamondback. Can rig up a rack above it if you want stuff on top of the cover.

I've had my heart set on a DB since before the new model (Switchback) was introduced/price was $500 less at $1399. (I'm guessing 18 months ago)

The one I was looking at (SE), has a center-piece that must be aligned correctly...so the Switchback is more like the tri-fold ones out there.

I love the rugged styling model instead of the smooth.

I had a couple sets of those. One set was great, another wouldn't balance no matter what. Traded the truck before I made them replace the affected tire

I might have to re-think the SE...you can't install the Rack System with the Switchback.

    It's expensive too!
