Update:

All is quiet… and for some reason, the steering feels tighter, and more responsive to minimal movement. Not sure why? Maybe just snugging everything up really did make a large difference. Anyway, for a couple hours of work and $25 for bolts, I’m stoked!

 

Even better, maybe they’re just preventing a little wiggle from the shock bushing rocking on and off that lip?

I don’t know, but sometimes it’s worth taking a chance.

What’s next for your truck?

 

Made an appointment for an alignment and to have the Hypertech speedometer calibrator installed once I have the 33’s mounted. It’s all coming together!

 

Awesome! I really should get that too. I just have not. Everyone with bigger tires has about 10% more miles than what’s shown and no one talks about it…


my wife gives me sooo much crap anytime I mention alignments… I’ve spent a bunch on them then kept going. To Firestone since they were free and the always messed them up.

She hasn’t realized after I replace the UCAs I’ll need an alignment

I think I’m going to do the cmc myself then get a plate welded later. Taking the wheels and tires off and putting back on often is killing my back more… well more than normal

 

Hahah yeah I normally get a few alignments each year because it always gets knocked out of whack when I go out on the trails.

Id say it’s worth the money because it will keep the tires in good shape!

As for next… I guess waiting on you to order that SC, so I can blame you when I order mine! lol!

I do have my CMC plates that need to be installed as well as my ECGS bushing. That and about 12 lights for the front bar, roof and ditch lights. I like to pile crap up and just get to it whenever for some reason. The parts always seem like a great idea, life just always gets in the way of time to do it all.

I get too antsy sitting on parts and feel the need to get stuff done. Though, I am sitting on fluids and going to drain and fill diffs, xfer case and woolwax the frame sometime in Oct after AOAA.

I like where your head is at. It’s mostly just a bunch of wiring and hooking everything up to the CaliRaised dash switches… well, minus the CMC & ECGS, but I think I’ma have someone that’s done them before do it. I was thinking of maybe getting together with @Tonymontana at some point for them. But with all these fish that need me to catch them, it’s hard to find all the time to dedicate.

You have a switchpro or similar switch panel ready?
You can get some cheap off AliExpress… same ones as sold on Amazon, just cheaper.

 

I just bought 4 toggle switches from Cali… one for front bumper lights (4), one for the roof lights (4), one for the rear lights (2) and a switch for the ditch lights.

 

Got enough switch locations? I have the hidden light bar and ditch lights right now, wired to a single 2 part switch. I required my roof rack light to the light bar side.

 

Im pretty sure I had the right anmount of locations available… laid it out last time I looked at it all… sadly, all piled into a bin in garage currently.
