I have rotors too that were recommended but they’re 200 each. I can share if you want but not sure I’d even get them.

 

The mechanic that suggested to replace the brakes soon said the rotors are perfectly fine, may just wait on those

 

As far as my experience goes with Toyota and Honda’s… if it’s not OEM pads, they’ll always squeak.

Just my 2 cents.

I’d love a big brake upgrade like Brembo and rear disc conversion!

Think wife wants me to bring her tree up. Sunday going to do that replacement wiring harness.

 

When I did my 2019 I used open cell foam pipe installation and just cupped it over the vents and secured it with strips of the mat. The ends are open to allow air movement but it helps deaden the sound.

well if anyone was curious, my wife just took her first ride in the truck since I did the sound deadening and without me asking she agreed that the cab is “way” louder now. Guess that was a waste of entire day and money on supplies

I’m definitely gonna figure out a way to get that OEM carpet insulation panel put back in and then go from there I guess.

 

Sorry it's not working out like you had hoped. If you do pull the back panel again, make sure neither of the vents are stuck open and try putting the pipe installation over them. Doing that buffers a direct path to the exterior. When I did my 2019 I also did the floor under the rear seats, pulling the rear carpet back so I could cover the face that was behind the storage cubbies (the ones that are under seat). I used the 3 layer, 200 mil mat and in the end the difference was noticeable. Had I not traded it on the 2023 I was going to pull the front seats, carpet and do the full floor. Will be doing that and the doors on the 2023 in the spring.

Edit.. one thing that I just remembered is that I also lined what I could of the plastic back panel as well as the lower portions of the pillars since I had the covers pulled.

Hi, I've been really busy. But, after several months on the day trump was shot the first time was the day my shocks were rebuilt by ASHIVE92 (https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/ashive92.415754/). Thank God Trump was okay! I drove up to PA, and he did the whole nine yards took them off, rebuilt them, and put them back on. Give him a holler, he's a great dude and does great work at an affordable price!
