Got 3-4" more snow. Spring cant get here fast enough.

 

Ain’t that the truth! That’s it, I’ve seen enough snow this year! Probably another 2” in Carroll. Can’t wait for warm weather to be back.

 

Finish this pot of coffee off and then guess it’s time to get the drive and cars cleaned off, yet again!

 

Yeah I woke up this morning and was very upset when I looked outside lol

 

My son-in-law helped me shovel the driveway/walkway before heading out to the Bavarian Bakery.

My truck got snow-brushed off and warmed up while doing the chore.

DelDOT does a nice job salting the main roads.

Back home now enjoying my Apple Pocket and coffee.

 

A little something to make you feel lucky. Just watched a youtube of the LA fires. Large sections of LA county is burnt. These house are burnt to the foundation. How many of those people have 100% coverage fire insurance? I know my coverage has not kept up with appreciation.

Well one thing about being old, it will be spring before you know it (I tell myself). I hose the salt off yesterday and the car in on a battery tender in the garage, but the cabin fever is setting in. lol

 

Snow is a young man’s game! I loved it like any other kid growing up… weather it was sledding at the local hills or ski/snowboarding at the mountains… it didn’t faze me. Hell, I used to board in a tee shirt on nice sunny days! Now I wake up and see snow and my back hurts just looking at it. All I see are missed hours/money from work, and all the shoveling I have to do!

Sorry MD, but once those kids have hs diplomas in their hands (5 years) we are out!! For Sale sign is going up and we are Georgia bound… over it!!

Thanks for the chuckle...I felt the same about roller-coasters years back--I rode one to discover my body/mind did not enjoy it anymore.

Living through some Delaware Winters, I've learned to shovel while the snow is fresh...then salt remaining remnants on the driveway/walkway.

You're right though...it's still back-breaking work.

I'll have to buy a snowblower when the time comes...but we're staying here in Delaware for retirement years.

 

The “normal” folks in Altadena will be hit hard financially. Even if they have full fire insurance, the hoops they’ll have to jump through (plus time) to rebuild is devastating.

This is an event on the level of Hurricane Katrina.

Well, just played baldurs gate for 12 hours straight.. how's y'all's Saturday?

 

That’s a lot of hours. I tried getting into it but there was too much freedom and too many choices lol


I had to work in Wilmington this morning/today.

 

The only game I could play half day straight lol. The freedom and size of the world is overwhelming at first.. More than 60 hours in total and I'm no where near halfway!
