Nah, sorry I've been gone y'all, shit's been crazy. I stepped up work progress, finished my BA degree, spent a month in Spain, quit my day job with zero notice, spent a week and a half in Iceland, and now I'm in South Carolina to work for a year, in the Columbia area. Also, I'm beginning my post-grad work

 

Sounds busy! Congrats on your BA. How were Spain and Iceland?

Alright. I’m putting the feelers out there and need some help. I have NOT reached a proper settlement on the total loss of my truck yet. The other driver’s insurance company is being absolutely disgustingly disrespectful and unreasonable. That being said, I need another vehicle. I’m going to list below the options in my head that i’m open to, if any of you know of any vehicles that may fit these criteria or decide to take the time to look for yourselves, I would greatly appreciate it and love you forever. Here goes it.

My highest priority is to get back into another truck. Preferably a 2007-2015 second generation tacoma. My goal is to hopefully avoid a payment/used vehicle loan if at all possible but that may not be the way it goes. That being said, i’m also open to other options. My list will be in what I believe is highest to lowest priority starting at the top. Only vehicles under 140,000 miles with no accidents will be considered.

1. 07-08 ACLB 4.0 4x4 SR5 BASE or TRD OR/TRD Sport
2. 13-15 ACLB 4.0 4x4 TRD OR ONLY
3. 96-98 GMC/Chevrolet k1500/k2500 Short wheel base (reg cab/6ftbed) or reg cab long bed 5.7 4x4
4. 2007-2009 FJ Cruiser
5. 2006-2009 SPORT model 4th generation 4runner with the 4.0 4x4 but i’m open to the 4.7 and want to avoid a sunroof (very hard when choosing the sport model)
6. 2008-2017 Regular cab 6ft bed Tundra 4x4 4.7/5.7
7. 2014-2021 5th gen 4runner 4x4 no sunroof, no limited model, prefer SR5 premium

I’m an extremely picky and decisive person, this process is already driving me to bed early

I thought along with mental health, my soul and exchanging about 200 (rough estimate) of written pages and $$$ for that one sheet of paper.
yep, not once (so far) has it done more than collect dust… though in a couple weeks it might mean a lot more (or not).

I’ll keep an eye out. I’m not sure recommending FB market place is good or not. 3/4 of car adds are scams and the rest are mostly “I know what I got, don’t try and lowball me” type posts.

<3 I’d be more likely to get a full size truck with an 8ft bed than i’d ever be to even consider a 5ft bed.

I get it, they work for a lot of people. But to me a 5ft bed is almost useless

 

Just curious… if you went new, did you have a $$$ range?

If the new T4R is in your list, you should strongly look at a base GX!! They have the Tundra motor, not the 4cyl!!
