Saw this on FB, keep an eye out if in the area

 

WTH????

 

Wow!! I know this truck, see it all the time. We’ve done concrete jobs at his work and he lives around corner from the plant. This is really horrible!! People now a days suck!!

 

That being said, I thought these trucks came with alarms? And without the ECU detecting the fob, the ignition wouldn’t kick over? Granted, I’m sure there’s ways to hack around all this… but feel like this would take some serious planning.

 

yeah, the guy was not sure how they got it. Maybe somehow copied his fob signal. I think that was happening in Canada a lot

 

Chances are, that's probably how it's done.

Putting a deterrent (steering wheel lock) that could slow them down may help.

But at the end of the day, their determination will yield a stolen vehicle or lots of damage trying.

 

Man that sucks about the guy who had his truck stolen.

I’m probably gonna have them do my truck in the next few weeks.

 

Got the needle bearing>ECGS swap and front diff fluid change done today. Of course complications arose, ensued, were overcome.

 

Replacing the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing was one of the best things I’ve done. It made the truck ride so much smoother.

 

Do you have the pulling tool and install tool as well, or use a different tactic?

I need to get mine done as well… the wifeys dad came out to visit, so no wrenching today. But did enjoy the morning weather and get the garage cleaned out.
