Morning MD and congrats on the new ride @hyrule_trd !!!

 

Now I need to save up for get tint and a dashcam. Well, I’ll probably get the dash cam sooner than later. “Cheap” insurance…

 

Oh yeah having a dash cam is priceless! I’ve had the Garmin mini in my truck for maybe 60K miles.

It’s plugged into the back of the rear view mirror with that dongar thing. It’s such a good camera, I plugged it in the day I got it from Amazon and haven’t touched it since.

I think we might be the next ones with a “new” car in the family because the wife has started shopping for GX 460s online to replace her ancient Civic. I did a good job pointing her in the direction of a trustworthy vehicle that I can mod lol

I agree that the dash cams are priceless. Just need to decide which one this time. I’ve got different ones in my truck and my wife’s. They both work fine but are 1-2..3 years old now so I’m sure there are better. I’ll check out the garmin. I can’t remember if I skipped it from there not being a rear camera with it.


The dongle is great, got that hooked up in my wife’s. They’ve improved since that one and now offer power off power through it.

 

That’s good to know they have a new version out. I need to get a rear camera too.

It does appear with my truck parking or continuous mode does not work on the Dongar. Must be a 4th gen or SR5 thing. I think you have to have a Garmin paid account to activate the feature anyways.

Ah yeah I never bothered trying to set up that stuff, I was worried about it draining my battery. That would make sense though!

Good question, I might be able to go up for the day of wheeling and maybe hang out for the dinner.

Right now Im a definite I don’t know lol
