Back in the mid 1980's Starcraft made a camper body for the S-10. They partnered with a performance parts company to produce a bolt on supercharger kit for the 2.8L V6 and it was installed as a part of the upfit. My dad had a 1983 S-10 extended cab 2WD. Around 1986 he bought a 26' camping trailer, realized he needed more power and after doing some research, found the company that made the supercharger kit and bought one. We put it on with a pulley that bumped up the boost and rejetted the carb. That thing was an absolute sleeper and we had some fun with it. When he went to sell the truck he put it back to stock and was nice enough to have the heads redone before he put ut up for sale. The owner of the machine shop that did the heads took them apart and called us asking WTF we had done to it. He'd never seen a head from a Chevy 2.8L with the valve seats absolutely buried in the their bore.

I took the day off and attempted to lower spring seats on my struts. That was a complete fail. I was unable to get the top spring nut to break loose. I really should lower it by .5” to get 1” lower.

I’ve got a couple options.
1- leave it alone and do the boot slide mod (or not)
2- try again with portable spring compressor leaving them still installed, bigger breaker bar.
3- take off and try everything…


Leaning towards option 1 right now. Or keep spraying pb blaster then try option 2.

Good morning lady's!!!! Lost my spare key moving this past weekend... should I not worry cause i want to add a remote start an the tailgate lock as well.?? Spacers gonna go on today or tomorrow... any help on the key or just don't worry about it would be appreciated. Let's get after it today!!! Last pic being tucked 3 weeks of ownership FRIDAY!!!

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm still driving my $500 04 tacoma & the wife is still driving her 02 4runner that I bought about 12 years ago for $5800. Neither of us has ever had a car payment. I have to admit tho I would love a 5th gen TRD Pro 4runner...
