Welcome! You’re going to love it around here… not just the MD page and its people, but MD waterways are amazing! I’m not sure there’s a county around that you can’t find a good place to kayak. Patapasico and Monocasy rivers are incredible and seem to never end… the upper and lower Patomac is just as incredible… and the Chesapeake has so many tributaries, feeders and miles and miles of shore line to cruise.

I wanted to get out so bad today… really got screwed!! Got up, checked the weather and they were calling for storms starting between 10-11… well that time came and nothing. Checked again and now it was gonna hit between 2-3… that time came and the sun was still out! Now I’m pissed!! Coulda been out on the lake and up until now, 11pm, still not a f-ing drop of rain!! WHAT A WASTE!!

 

The only good thing I gained from MD was this thread.

I can run it for 2 hours, then shut off the compressor for an hour and refire, rinse and repeat, as it is still bouta 3/4 of a lb low....

 

Good morning all and a special Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads out there!!

 

Ooof, I feel your pain. I have an old Coleman (made by York) unit that is dated 1999. When I first moved in to this house I opened the cover on the inside unit and it's all rust. Slowly put the cover on and forgot about it. Some how the darn thing keeps going. I know it's going to fail eventually and it won't even make me too upset. I kept all the window shaker units from the old house and wired in a couple dedicated 20amp outlets to handle it. Not even going to bother patching it. From what I gather replacement is in the $10k range

 

Well, it’s not ideal… but it’s working. That’s the important thing. Thankfully today is going to stay in the 60’s so maybe open up some windows and take in some fresh air. Assume someone will be out this week to fix the leak and recharge it?
