I haven’t ran a plate on the front of my truck in MD since I bought it. I tried to stop the dealer before I took delivery, but it was done when it was PDI’d

 

The Toyota dealer I use in Hagerstown that serves the MD, PA, and WV area doesn't add the front plate on PDI, which I like. I bought a VW in Springfield, VA one time and they put like 8 holes in the darn bumper. I had to get one of those replica Euro tags to cover it up

I’m still around. I’ve been driving a work vehicle primarily which has saved on gas

 

Before I type this, I acknowledge that this is a very first world problem and I’m lucky to be in this situation. Seeking some input from biased people but looking for an honest opinion.

I have a 2012 TRD OR with 125k miles. It’s lifted, running 285’s, has a cap and roof rack. I think it looks great and I really take care of the outside along with keeping the interior like new. No loan, title in hand.

I also have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Lifted, pizza cutters, roof rack, and clean interior. It has 97k miles. No loan, title in hand.

Recently, I got the 5th gen 4Runner bug up my you know what. I realize my Tacoma is basically a 4Runner, but have one kid and love the back seat space with the car seat in the 4 runner. The Jeep is tight too with the car seat. Am I crazy to consider selling both to find a really nice, low mileage 4 runner? I never use the locker in my truck and have never needed one in the Jeep. We primarily only drive on the beach in rehoboth maybe 1-2 times a month. Any other off roading would be easy trails that 4 wheel high could handle. I think I’d be a happy with an SR5 premium that has a moon roof.

What do you all think about this?

 

Depends on driveway space and finances. Can you afford to keep the Taco, sell the Heep, buy the 4Runner?

A clean later model 5th gen 4Runner should be a solid vehicle, but anything used is an unknown.

Personally I would sell the Jeep, keep the Taco, pick up the 4Runner. But you aren’t crazy to sell both if the Runner suits your needs.
