Yep I did, it was up in PA though. I stopped on my way from from hunting 2 weeks ago since I was coming right past it. It had some old woods rail sides when i bought it though

 

Anyone have a softopper? I've been thinking about offloading my roll-up tonneau and getting a softopper, but wasn't sure how much of a hassle it would be to access my toolbox..

 

Can you even fit a soft topper over a tool box?

 

I do. Not too much of a hassle... I have sliders with a kick out to stand on and I don't keep the windows in all the time...

 

If its a sit in the bed one yeah... Sit on the rails type = NO

Yea, mines actually a tool chest, not a crossover box. Sits down between the wheel wells. I'm just not sure how much of a PITA it'd be to unbutton and roll up the sides multiple times a day to get stuff out for work.

 

its really not that annoying… are you going with the soft topper from

I personally would not have a tool box all the time but for camping/traveling i have a cheap Plano brand sent sealing storage box that i can use at the top of the bed.

 

If I had a shortbed I wouldn't but long bed is fine with a chest for me! Ive got a storage bin thats made for shipping in the bed of my truck... It was a rolling cart and was missing a wheel so I took it from my dad lol.

Works good. Put a master lock on it incase but no one touches my shit around here

 

I still need the full bed length for tools, wheel barrows, mowers, etc.

 

I'm thinking the softopper brand because I don't care about the side windows and want it in khaki.

And the only reason I have a chest is because I have to have my hardhat, harness, safety vest, glasses, gloves, spray paint, hammer, chain, concrete cylinders, and a bunch of other random shit in my truck at all times for work. I've also got my dremel and wrench/sockets in there too

 

I like my took box I don't miss the bed space that much I can still slide stuff under it and I don't have an atv anymore to haul around so it's not too bad plus I've always had one in all my trucks

 

I just have a shit load of gear in the back seat since everyone declines to ride on the jump seats lol
