 Welcome! I was born and raised in Damascus, my grandparents and my sister live on the Rockville/Wheaton line, and one of my good buddies lives off of Plyers Mill in Kensington! lol super local. I just spent a good portion of today in Gaithersburg for work too

As for wheeling.. yea you'll have to go up to PA or down to the GWNF in VA, unless they open Red Cloud back up at some point. It's in Woodbridge but was shut down not too long ago.. haven't heard whether it'll be opening back up or if it's closed for good though. The only legal place I know if in Md is Assateague, and thats just beach driving and you have to pay for the permit, etc. I don't really know what all is needed for Assateague but Joe and Steve have been on the beach there iirc.. so they may know.

I want to get a group of MD/NoVa guys to hit up Shoe Creek and/or Flagpole Knob at some point this summer. No idea when yet, but I really want to go. lol they're both about 2 hours from the DC area.

The upcoming York, Pa meet is a get together to plan a wheeling trip in Pa. Check out the thread and if possible try and make the meet.

Never heard of either of them but I'm always down for wheeling, even more so if camping, shooting, and drinking are involved Lol

I'll have to check it out in a few.

probably no shooting because it's national forest and all, but definitely some camping. Flagpole is between Harrisonburg VA and the WV line, and Shoe creek is kinda middle of nowhere central VA.

Lol yea I could see firearms being a problem there haha. But wheeling and unwinding in the evening with alcohol and camping is a pretty good weekend too

I mean, I could make it work for one night, especially since I curl up in the fetal position when I sleep sometimes. Just wouldn't be the most comfortable thing lol I could test out the Bestop as a tent though. :p
