Alright question... I want to rig this truck up right the first time around... I'm looking at Blue Sea Fuse Boxes on Amazon, I've never dealt with one so what are the pros and cons. I'm looking at this because I don't want 20 things running to my battery instead I think a fuse box would be cleaner if the fuse box is the only thing hooked up to the battery and all the accessories pull from that. I'm looking at a few sets of lights, a CB, a winch at some point, and an Air Compressor at some point for starters, not sure if any of the fuse boxes available can handle all of that together or if I'm going to need separate boxes for the larger items. Anyone on here know how this stuff works?

Hey guys, Im in the Arundel mills area, does anybody have a place they recommend for alignments/ balancing? I've got a pretty nasty wobble between 40-55mph and some uneven wear on the tires. i was gonna go to pepboys but i dont get a warm and fuzzy from them.

I like to recommend the trail toys NSA Panel. I helped Nathan develop the panel for about a year while I lived in Houston. it's top notch, with all of the details accounted for. attach power to the battery, ground the box to the battery or frame, and then all you have to do is hook up each accessory to the power outputs form the box. each accessory will be grounded individually, locally to where it is mounted. if everything is prewired, it takes 5 minutes to install the box. it will more than handle the loads you are talking about, simultaneously. and the best part, is there is no wiring for switches. it's a very slim package, waterproof, and can be mounted anywhere under the hood, even using HD Velcro.

The Trail Toys set looks like simple and easy install and Chip you can get a spare remote and pair it to circuit board if your worried about losing it.Plus your only gonna be adding accessories so vehilce will still be drivable if remote is lost or broken.

exactly. you could get 10 spare remotes if you wanted. heck, can even keep one in the house, so you can turn on the lights before you walk outside at night to get into your truck.

ill check them out today then...

its weird, i lifted the truck a few years ago, OME all around and had no issues driving on stock wheels and tires. The place that installed the lift said that they had no issues aligning everything. A little over a year ago i put some 17" procomps and 255 75 r17 KM2s and this winter they started to vibrate at 40-55ish mph. I never had a realignment after putting the new wheels and tires on so maybe this is the problem.

if they cant realign then maybe i might need new UCAs to put everything back into its proper place.

thats what i thought at first, and what i plan on doing as step 1

i went to Mr tire on Saturday and that asshole walks out to my truck and tells me a rebalance wont solve my issue, im gonna new new tires. i told him the tires have 8k on them there brand new. He gave me some more BS so i told him to fuck off and left.

then went to pep boys and the guy said the uneven wear is an alignment issue as well... i made an appointment for this afternoon but not sure if i trust them with mah truck.

i figured that i just knocked off a wheel weight in the winter and that was causing the vibration, but would that cause uneven wear in the front tires as well?

unless it is extremely off, a bad alignment will not cause a vibration. it can exaggerate one, but it will not cause it. unbalanced wheels/tires, or very worn balljoints/bushings are what actually cause vibrations.

i guess ill go to continental tire this evening and ask for a re balance. then see if they can check alignment... gotta fix that uneven wear.

thanks for all your suggestions, i'll let you know how it goes

Just my two cents I don't trust Mr tire after they installed (their parts) they WRONG brakes on my old escort. It's been a while since that car but IIRC they somehow put the wrong rotors and calipers on and it screwed up the front brakes we took it to another Mr tire (in westminster) to have it fixed. We have never been back to the original one in Eldersburg since. And I wont take any of my cars there. I goto Merchants.
