Well,I got pulled over on my way home from work.. license plate has to be flat.
Straight up and down. Not facing down as mine is.
    Tires sticking out to far..
And my front bumper is illegal.. yup

What makes the bumper illegal besides a flat plate mount

I dont see how that bumper is illegal, its securely bolted on and dosent stick out super far, License plate I can see, wheels having to be inside the wheel well is actually a thing in MD, hence why i cant find wheels that i like, and wont ever run wide tires unless i run fiberglass up front

Edit: Did the officer give you a reason why the front bumper is illegal?

He said the biggest thing was the license plate and tires..

He kept walking away and talking so I couldn't hear him well..
I believe he said the bumper is illegal because the way the bumper comes around the side..37fcf022bb07ebf69e1d742f350c6bab_bdda212d4b485dd3b1d56c14bc43f0e094593fb0.jpg

Thanks for the input Colin. I have a nice ground tent and tons of backpacking gear, but all this talk about RTTs just sparked my interest. The lady friend is talking about taking a road trip to Maine and camping along the way. Thought the RTT could be more convenient. I really like the idea of a trailer and have been watching govt auctions and craigslist, but haven't had any luck.

Sorry to hear about your luck. I was pulled over a while back for not running with a front plate. Ends up the officer had a Tacoma himself and we ended up having a very pleasant conversations about them. Left the experience with a warning, and trip back home to find bolts to re-mount the license plate.

    Here's a question..
Does my entire tire have to be covered our just the tread??

I put my front flares back on, put the leveler on them and my tread is covered but, not the bulge..

I believe it's the entire tire, but would have to do some google-fu to be sure. By any chance are you in the music scene? I've seen a local guy play with the headline of "Christopher James Band."

On my chevelle i run a "Heartbeat of America" plate on the front and the original to the car California black plate on the back. The Md. street rod tags are in the trunk. Been running it like that since i bought the car in 07. Now since i mentioned it you know what will happen...lol.

According to the laws i looked up, the official test is a U.S Quarter is placed against the edge of the fender and dropped, if it hits the tires with the steering wheel facing straight you fail the test and get a Fix-it Ticket
