I'm torn between the Tundra and Chevy. They both are very nice trucks.

I'm not a big fan of Chevy but that's just me. I know a few people with new tundras and love them.

Money Chip, money. I was trying to stay as cheap as I could. Explorers are pretty close to price as a 4 Runner.

My dad has a 08 extended cab tundra and has been nothing but good for him. Tows our 5th wheel no problem with the 5.7

I looked at double cab f150's while I was truck shopping and those were really night. Just didn't need a full size right now since all I need the truck for is hunting mostly

I like the Tundra. IMO it is a lot more reliable and prone to a lot less issues. Chevy's tend to start sucking much after 100k miles. The only thing that pushes me away from the Tundra is the mpg. I know full size trucks aren't designed to get great mpg but damn, the Tundra is horrible. If I was going to go full size, I'd look at a F-150 EcoBoost.

    Speaking like a true American!

I on the other hand prefer to not have debt. But for now, it is necessary.

No kids thankfully, I get into enough trouble myself don't need little demon spawns running around. Although it would be fun teaching them to throat punch people and call everyone fuckers ;)

I'm not a Ford guy but a coworker of mine has a 14 escape. I drove it a couple times and i was impressed. It drove nice and it was roomy for its size. I also liked how the interior is laid out. Congrats!

Their water crossing abilities leave much to be desired. Good thing it's a rental.
