I had to swap out for my spare shaft after denting mine. can I drop off a busted up shaft for re-tubing? would it help him out if I pre-cutoff all of the flanges and just gave him the flanges/carrier bearing, etc and the lengths I needed?

can't find a driveshaft shop in southern MD for the life of me, so I'd rather stop by Baltimore than send it off in the mail.

Colin I just texted him. He told me to pass his cell number to you. I'll pm it to you. His name is Keith, he's been building and rebuilding shafts at this shop for many years. Even the used ones that he rebuilds look new when you get them back, he paints them too.

Talked to ARB (OME) today about my suspension, technical support was very friendly and helpful. They asked about my UCAs, if my sway bar was removed, and which springs/struts I have. They were able to quickly determine that my 885X springs and 90000 Nitro shocks were not playing well together. The 885X is the correct setup for my DCSB with no bumper/winch, however the 90000 is meant for heavy duty use, and the 90021 is what I should have gotten.

Since all the parts are acting as they should, there is much they can do warranty wise, and I agree with them... quite frankly I'm mad at TOYTEC for recommending the wrong parts, that ARB says blatantly don't go together.

I plan on getting a plate bumper this spring and want 3" of lift, so the way I see it, I have a few options after I see how it levels out:
    1. Disassemble the coilover and install a top plate spacer and hope the 885Xs are good enough for the added weight.
    2. Disassemble the coilover and install 886Xs and top plate spacer to get added height... and hope it doesn't ride harsh again.
    3. Burn my checkbook and just buy a ICON 2.0 coilover assembly.

foxes corrode faster, kings are a bitch to adjust (easier to just take them off for adjustment), and icons have their own unique seals, etc, so when you want to rebuild them, you are limited to 2-3 places to purchase them from. or at least that was the case 5 years ago.

How often do you need to adjust kings? I would imagine you can just set and forget right?

Depends on what spring rate you're running and what armor you end up adding. I had to adjust my last set of Kings twice, first time left them on the truck 2nd time I said F it and removed them to adjust. That set is now on A Texas truck and still going strong with one rebuild. The Fox coil overs as mentioned here rust like a champ and being as you're in MD and they spray that shit brine on the roads I would stay clear, mine were rusted to hell after one winter season here.

Yea I'm going to avoid them due to rust. I need to spray the hell out of the underside still any luck with fluid film? Mud has been talking about it a lot but I haven't found anyone who has actually used it lol
