I have the 2 car garage, can fit one truck in it to work on, other side is all my equipment and racks with parts on it as well as a 4 car driveway.

I'm out of Maryland and then the USA starting Sunday, but will return by November 9th. I'd like to go to Rausch on the 14th and then the TW meetup on the 15th, but a wrench meet would kickass as well.

Anyone in Baltimore interested in making things out of metal should check this out. http://www.bizjournals.com/baltimor...ry-in-for-major-change-with-move-to-city.html
    [IMG]

Baltimore Foundry is moving to Kevin Plank's (UA CEO) City Garage in January. The Foundry is currently over by Little Italy and has a bunch of flux core welders, a CNC machine, plasma cutter and some carpentry stuff. I took a welding class there and they have open shop nights to work on projects. Anyhow, with this move they're getting a ton more machines and anyone interested should check it out - it's gonna be badass. My buddy sells machine tools and got a private tour yesterday - said it's gonna be the real deal. Time to design this bumper! (Hopefully they have photoshop classes too) Yikes

I just got done talking to Corey at The Foundery. He said they are getting a 5'x10' Waterjet in addition to a 55 ton Iron Worker, a revamped welding area, slip roller, jump shear, an industrial vertical band saw and horizontal saw.

Unfortunately for us, they won't have a large press brake (at least 45 tons) to form Mob Off parts.

Damn, I was wondering the same thing. That's a bummer. Well if you're in the market call Norman Machine Tools in Canton and ask for Jimmy. Tell him that I (Justin from TW) referred you.

Alright, so Tim is going to be out of here for a few weeks and we decided to get his truck to my place while gone so we can get skids and time permitting a plate bumper. Issue is he has it half apart so we need to know if any of you local folks have a car trailer we can use so I can trailer it to my place? Anyone, anyone?

I'm rushing to try and have her put back together in time, but the trailer would be super helpful.

Yeah, I'm thinking about trying to put the bumper back on Saturday and zipping the lights... all comes down to how quickly I can get on the last coat of paint, I'd kill for an extra day.

is it the rear of the front thats off? the actual bumper itself on the front is that shiny aluminum piece behind the plastic cover, so as long as its in place you technically have a bumper.

The actual bumper that connects the left and right side of the frame together is off the truck. You can walk straight back to the gas tank because the x frame that holds the spare tire is also off.

But I did just finish painting so I can reassemble tomorrow.

ah, that is kinda important to have attached, not sure how well zip ties would do there, but it sounds like you got it sorted out

    Hey Mobtown,

Are you considering any heavy aluminum skids or steel only? Thoughts?

We're going to start with 1/4" thick steel reinforced with ribs welded to the backside. Aluminum is in consideration but that is down the road...

This is true, well, for my day job. But hey, the equipment I design and manufacturing that sends the plastic to the injection molders is made from steel, so I am not sure how to reply haha.

I don't have that kind of coin right now! Although, @SMKYTXN knows where it's at. Those skids are the shit.

BTW, picked up the compressor from TSC last night. Going to run the power to it today and start the break in period. Plasma came in too! It's like freaking Christmas!

I know mr smky very well, from a personal and business standpoint.
    Great guy/friend/engineer/company.

Guess it's gonna be a race. Going to try to run another 240v outlet for my plasma this weekend.
