HAHA, told my wife the same thing. I told her I am building a Madmax Escape. Plate bumpers, full exo cage, and the list goes on.

yeah, I've been on the forums for a while and seen a number of the kits. really cool looking, but I just don't think I could do it. "awesome testarossa bro!"....."thanks, but it's just a fiero with an I4....."

After the next move... It's a daily driver until the truck overhaul is done, then it can become a track toy

Only thing is that they don't steer for shit with a v8 in the back. So a turbo on the current i4 may be a better option

Fittment isn't the issue. There's plenty of room. It's about weight distribution.

sorry, not an engine guy, so I didn't know what that engine code referred to

here's what the 2.8L factory V6 looks like. so imagine all of the room you have if you remove that "trunk" area

actually, forgot I had photos of mine. that picture is of a V6. I have an I4. not nearly that pretty (yet), since I haven't worked on it, but then again, still not too bad for a 27 year old car.

From what I remember, the I4 had upper intake manifold issues. They were prone to cracking. Another was motor mounts, make sure they're in good shape.

intake manifold is good on this one. haven't had a chance to look at the lower motor mounts, but that silver cast dog-bone brace has a shot bushing. instead of messing with installing a new OEM style bushing in it, i'll probably just scratch build a new dog bone with tube and some ballistic fab DOM sleeves/poly bushings.

Looks to be the Iron Duke 2.5L. The one with the messy cartridge oil filter!
