How bad was the carrier bearing to replace I think I'm gonna have to do mine before too long. I've never done one before in fact this is the first truck I've owned that didn't have a one piece driveshaft

I really want to build one too. This is my goal except my truck is pyrite mica and the trailer probably flat tan.

I will build you one, if you cover the material cost. Win/win because I want to do one and you want one.

Building an Expo trailer is alot of fun, highly recommend it. Can make a lot of custom touches to it.

x2 On overbuilding the axle. Larger axle = larger wheel bearings. I used a 3500 lb axle.

Would def be going with a 3500# axle and same lug pattern as the Taco. At least 33" tires.

I only installed the drop kit, never replaced the carrier bearing.

    Greg,

How's the SAS going? Did you finish up?

I'm finally at the end of my 4wd conversion. I'm an idiot and decided to no use the FJ t-case, so I've been screwing with designing and wiring a control box for months now. Probably have to wait a few more years before I'm ready to SAS.

Hey I got a question for ya. Would it be possible in anyway to mod a trail gear tube bumper to add a swing away tire carrier ?
