Before i bought my black 4runner I had a low mile 4.0 xj 4x4. I bought it from a customer at my work for $100 back in 2011. It was towed in with a overheating issue, we diagnosed a blown hg. Customer sold it because he didn't want to repair it. I bought it, pulled the head and sent it out to JB's machine shop. Head was cracked and not repairable so the search was on for a replacement head then after closely inspecting the cylinders i noticed #1 had piston & cyl wall damage. Then i sold it as is on CL to a guy in WMd. My old camino in the background.

From what i read the distrubuterless coilpack heads had thinner castings compared to the older jeep 4.0's that had distrubuters. This xj was a 01.
