I live roughly 4min from andrews and been here all my life. That being said, the farther south to south east you go the better the area. Waldorf is ok, there are some bad parts of waldorf and some decent parts, the father into calvert county or st. marys county the better the people and better the area. I would recommend looking into calvert county, you could just jump on rt4 and take it pretty much to andrews, traffic in waldorf sucks during the week, its pretty much a big traffic jam. rt 4 dosnt get as bad but its only a 4 lane highway (2 each eay), and the speed limit isnt too high so there are always state troopers on it.

littledvl is 100% correct! We moved here in september 09 on orders to Andrews. Thank god we didn't move to waldorf! The commute is terrible, only about 20 miles but it takes 45 minutes to an hour. We live in Huntingtown (calvert county) love it!!! We are 25miles from base and it takes 25 minutes to get to the base. feel free to PM me anytime, we moved from Travis afb in California. Sorry you got orders to Andrews...
