Well that the magic question. You need to measure how much lift you want. Measure from the center of your wheel to the bottom of the wheel opening like this
    [IMG]

Check the front and the back and see how much you need to lift it to be level. Nice thing about the 5100's is you can adjust them

NP, that way you can see how much rake you have and adjust them as you want. If you want to go up in the rear it's either add springs or blocks to raise the rear.

Just so you know I have OME all around with 885 springs (887's weren't available at the time) and small top plates for the front lift and I added 2 cut Chevy springs (OMD mod) to lift the rear.

Thanks and I wasn't trying to say you were wrong but you do not need a drop bracket lift for 33's and it really is a case by case type of thing for the rubbing.

Nice looking truck, not a damned thing wrong with the way it sits imo. It's a truck.

Yazmatic I'm in Weymouth im gonna follow this thread. I'm on my first Tacoma, first Toyota for that matter. I don't plan on doing a lift, A because of money, and B I just am not that comfortable doing that type of work on my truck. IF and when you either do the lift yourself or have it done I'd like to see it if you don't mind. I'm in Norwood ever other Friday for piping lessons at my instructors house. Good luck with your new truck

What's up dude? I'll definitely let everyone know how it goes. Probably won't be for another 2-3 weeks though. I plan on putting 5100's all around. I'm on my first Tacoma too haha, had a Toyota mini van though haha

BTW I'm not sure that you saw it or not but I did respond to your post in the NE B.S. thread. I do installs as well. So if anyone needs a hand they can contact me.

McGee ? CHECK your fresh air intake, under cowl, and cabin filter for pine needles

my trd originated from McGees (dealer swap) and it was jammed full of pine needles they have trees there
that shed HARD and if your truck was parked there for any time it might have a boatload of them under the cowl

For that matter, inspect for sap to see if you can get rid of it before clearcoat damage occurs. We had different trees at the place I used to work- we's have yellow petals stuck to cars leaving yellow petal shapes in the clear. Some sap from stuff too- nasty! Nothing like asking for a good survey and taking the customer to their new car with that crap all over it! Yikes!
