What'd they do? Chop it up into little pieces and pack it out?

Got sucked into his you tube channel for the scenic views. I enjoy most of the recoveries, but tedium has set in a bit w/ it all. Still more entertaining than the others. Ed is worth the watch!

Maybe, but I would like to see them do another transformation. Wishful thinking.

Agreed- it makes me want to start a project I’m in way over my head on. I am deep into Fab Rats builds now. More fabrication on his channel, and the straight axle Tacoma build.

I think the next project he NEEDS is a better trailer setup for hauling wrecked SXSs. They seam to struggle quite a bit with that. Not as fun a build as the Moreviar, but it would seam to make the most sense.

That and Id like to see the Banana get some love now that it can afford some down time.

He purpose built that trailer solely for SXS’s. There’s a video on it.

Yes, but considering how sketchy it is for them loading a sxs on it with bent/broken control arms, they could use a more robust setup. I know part of the reason why the trailer was built how it was is because the Banana can only pull so much. I hope the Corvair can afford them a more robust setup.

I think its more along the lines of weight/size. Matt states in the build video about the trailer that they built it to the exact length of the longest SxS at the time and the ramps are aluminum to save weight. They dont carry a full marine battery in the tongue for the winch because its too heavy, they use that jump box. The whole thing was built with weight and size in mind. When on sand weight is the biggest killer.

Always somebody who knows better than the person actually doing it.

I have a corollary to that. “The person who says something can’t be done is usually interrupted by the person doing it”.

Considering any other width of a trailer would be harder to control on the trails they usually have to do recoveries on. The SXS don’t only run the dunes, they are on trails they have to recover them from.

That trailer is perfectly designed for the banana.

5 Ton 6x6 recovery truck would be wicked, but dang they are heavy and slow.

He needs to find a Duece and half 2.5ton wrecker. They can be found (hint don't buy the first one you spot, but keep hunting for that perfect one). $15,000 might be a good deal. I would be afraid to ask how much tires cost for those (some have onboard air so you can air up or down from inside the cab. Never seen one with AC installed.

Does anyone have and drive an M35A?
