Matt’s Off Road Recovery

Hmm I guess I’m also burnt out on his videos. Just kinda stopped watching when they got reality TVish.

I have been watching Rudy’s Adventure and Design though.

 

I think it was better back when Trevor was still there. Rudy too. Now it seems more of a family business with the wife and the kids helping on most jobs.

I still watch it. Only the recovery videos though.

 

I watch it all the time and enjoy it, even the long ones. I think it might depend on what you watch it on. When watching on my phone I like things 10 minutes or less. These days I mostly watch YouTube on my TV, and enjoy watching longer stuff that way.

 

I also miss Trevor, he was one of my favorites. I'm enjoying TomTom's presence though at least.
I still watch every episode, but I do find myself zoning out a bit on some of the longer ones.

 

his videos were never me sitting down and focusing on it intently. im always doing something else and these are on in the background mostly. if something interesting happens ill watch a little closer. its more background noise at this point.

 

TomTom is pretty entertaining but Trevor and Lizzy together on recoveries was great.

It makes sense that they would be connected business wise somehow. You see a lot of cross promotion of the same brands across the channels like: Yukon, Challenger Lifts, Barnes 4WD, and Harbor Freight EVERYTHING lol.

I think it would be only in everyone's best interest involved. Why not make your friends and colleagues successful? Seems like an awesome plan to me.

Watch it for the in-field repairs (e.g. welding a drive shaft in the middle of BFE). Good stuff.

 

I saw that Paul was going to "LS" his Tacoma. Anyone surprised?

 

Not at all, will be interesting to watch him do it.

 

Excited to see how the school bus builds that Matt, Paul, and Robby are each doing end up.

 

A 2012-2015 Access Cab OR with Bilstein 5100s went off the mountain in New Mexico, then vandals stole the wheels and tires off of it



Looks like they put 4th gen 4Runner wheels on it to roll it up the mountain.

 

I wonder if the truck was stolen and the thieves brought it up the mountain for a joy ride, stole the wheels then pushed it off the cliff.

 

^It's one of several possibilities. Maybe the truck developed some major issue and the owner pushed it off to claim insurance. I notice the oil filter is missing, too. That would've been a deliberate action.

 

Matt's just dropped their version of that recovery. Not something I'd normally watch, but I saw the Tacoma and wondered who's it is/was.
