Did you have to hammer the pinch weld to get those on?

I love these SOS sliders. I like how the kickout isn't too giant, but still adds some character to them. Big thanks to Eddy and Phoenix for helping me be able to finally get some sliders on the truck!

About to scuff them with a wire wheel and wipe them with acetone.

Painted the sliders with self etching primer

In the process of welding them, I caught myself on fire twice, ruining two shirts! Then I started laying under the welding blanket.

Here's my best weld on them. Not too bad for my second welding project! (Just don't look at the other welds;))

Much more difficult. They WILL rub the back of your calf, so you better make sure they are clean before you try to wear a suit or nice pants. I took that picture looking straight down in order to show how far they stick out.

Can't really use them as steps either, since they are angled up, you end up stepping higher than you need to to get in the truck.

Badlands custom frt winch mount bumper. badlands RR bumper w/ spare swing out, jerry can holder. Leer Camper shell. Royal Purple synthetics. Baja fender flares. Entire truck rhino lined. 31's. Custom sound system. More to come.
I dig the build. I think after seeing how you boxed in the triangles and such on the front and bottom of the bumper, I'll pull the trigger doing it with mine. Really awesome so far..

And where did you dig up the bad ass airplane seats?? Lol

Thanks for the compliments! My mom works for Southwest Airlines so that's where the seats came from

Hmm, I'm confused. The sliders are still lower than the floor of the truck, otherwise you wouldn't be able to open your doors. I use mine as steps all the time because it's easier than stepping 3" higher onto the floor. Plus that keeps me from ever getting mud or dirt on me from the sliders :notsure:

Depends how tall you are I think. For me stepping on them would get me to high and then i'd have to bend way down in order to get in the truck, easier just to step over those

Exactly. If I step on them, I have to bend way down to get in the seat. It's more difficult than just stepping over them

It has been here since Wednesday! Probably won't be able to mess with it until Sunday though.

Me too! Expect lots of pictures. I'm going to see if I can somehow fill that gap, providing it is noticeable. We'll see how it goes

Used my rock sliders for the first time today as door ding protector. Some guy opened his door right into it  I loved it.

Nice! I had someone recently door ding me so hard that I traded paint with them. There was a small dent with a bunch of ugly green paint on my door...

    But....:itllbuffout:
