Updated OP with pics of my skid plate!
I don't have pictures of it painted and mounted because I took my truck to the shop because it has been making awful noises. Hopefully I will have it mounted for good later this week!

Well tickle me upside down and call me long john, if you ever plan on making some skids that'd save me on shipping down here in the heart of Texas.

Haha. I cleaned the engine bay and interior too. A week of no rain in the forecast and the beginning of spring meant it was time to clean!

Not to thread jack...i know Matt so he shouldn't mind

Spray COLD engine bay down with water, apply simple green, walk away for 2-5 minutes, rinse THOROUGHLY. Wipe areas with excess dirt down with a wet towel and rinse or with a wash mit and rinse.

Or you could do what I do which is spray it down with engine degreaser at the DIY car wash.... I just make it my last step so the engine has 20 minutes to cool down a little bit. I also don't drive very far to get to the car wash. Haven't cracked a block yet!

A lot of those degreasers will eat into and discolor your plastics....being that our entire wiring harnesses are comrised of plastic connections, i stay away from degreasers.

I know first gens have less plastic in the engine bay but still.... i'd be scurrd
