Exhaust is stock. I was actually thinking about that today while I was driving. It is totally silent under the ambient noise in the cabin at highway speeds.

My deckplate is SERIOUSLY LOUD when the revs climb up

Nice. I want to get rid of my current setup. Too noisy and it rattles at a specific rpm...

There is one particular hill that you climb over to get here and I affectionately call it "ear bleed hill." If I try to stay 75mph or higher, the truck shifts down two gears and runs around 4500 RPM for about a minute. With the deckplate open it is pretty ridiculous. It would sound good if I hadn't already been listening to it for 4 hours. Haha

Get a Flowmaster 50 and also put an inline resonator before the muffler. Should help alot with rasp and drone. that's my plan now. I need a new exhaust headers back thoo #rustyaf

Still haven't taken any pics of the finished work. I never got time to wash my truck and it's been covered in rain and ice the past few days anyway. I can assure you that it looks good though!

I'm feeling okay, still on crutches but I'm getting much better at walking with only one. I'm going to PT here twice a week. The school provides me transportation to class as well as a handicap parking tag which is nice.

Aw man.. I need a handicap tag. I drive around for at least 45 minutes to find parking.
Where are you going for PT here?

Today I did an oil change, Castrol full synthetic. Also rotated the tires and did the tac weld mod for the steering column. It made such a difference on the highway. I highly recommend it to anyone that has loose steering!

I also finally washed the truck today, so I snapped some quick photos of the fender flares and the grille as the sun was setting. I'll get some better ones tomorrow during the day. Still really happy with how this all turned out!

Haha, thanks. It really wasn't very hard. The most difficult part was removing the springs for the steering wheel tilt. Those suckers are so strong!

I also put in a new bulb for the glovebox light that I never knew I had. That's great to have now!

I think so....not positive though. There's a place on the steering column that's designed to snap off in an accident so you don't get impaled by the steering wheel. Over time it gets loose and allows the steering wheel to have some play in it. The weld eliminates all the play and also the horrible clunking sound most 1st genners know of when off road

This is completely different than the bushings. People have replaced bushings and seen no difference for this particular issue on the first gens
