Half off new tire (or near new tires) is a great deal. You going to go tall skin again?

I don't know if you'd be interested, but you might want to check out the Toyo Open Country R/T. @DefconBrix has had a really good time with them and after 50k miles he still had ~70% tread. Might be worth checking them out.

The guy I lived with this year at school had those on his FJ. He really liked them. Not sure if they make them in 255/85.

I know toyo makes one tire in the 255 size but they are very expensive.

Today, the day before the trip!

I got my rear diff breather extended to the gas tank filler cubby. Riveted in some snaps in the bed for the front window of the softtopper. I got the rear shoes and drums replaced which thankfully got rid of my horrid vibrations. Also got chewed out by the Toyota service rep for "ruining my truck with all the aftermarket parts." Yeah, I won't be going back there. It's a shame too, because that's the same guy both of my parents have been going to for years. To top everything off, I turned my phone screen into a spiderweb with the help of the garage floor, so that's just great.

On a high note.....We roll out for Arkansas tomorrow!!! :woot:

Yeah, I hate mechanics who think anything other than Toyota branded parts are bad and shouldn't be on the truck. He was having a fit about my front brakes...He said they won't work right. I said, "oh yeah? Then how was I able to drive the truck in with them?" He also said that he noticed that "they are too big and I had to cut things in order to get them to fit." Come on dude. I cut a dust shield....

Everytime I go in for an oil change someone puts up an offer for my truck. Literally ever since I put the high clearance bumper and swing out on
