Just look at the build thread
It looks and sounds a lot more intimidating than it actually is. The TransGo kit is a very simple install.

Well it turns out that my brain was fried at 2:30 last night. This morning I went out and flipped the gasket around and got the pan reinstalled and ATF topped up. Just went for a drive to the gas station for a tank load of 93 octane for $28. Can’t beat that!

So now I guess it’s time to monitor AFR’s to be sure I don’t destroy my work. I hit max boost of 8.7psi WOT on my first pull. I forgot to look at the AFR when I did that pull. D’oh.

Here’s some pictures of various parameters as the engine idles in the shop.

oh man so excited to see this, have been looking at pulling the trigger. i was trying to get the one that was auctioned at copart on monday but it went for over 3k and a new one is a better option at that price. even though i could have used all the 4x4 as well. but great build

Today I picked up two Z3 hard tops that I had shipped over from the UK. One is matching in color to my car, and the other I plan to sell to cover the cost of shipping both of them. Fingers crossed it all works out like I planned

I unboxed my hard tops today. These crates were really well built and the tops survived their 4800 mile journey perfectly. Turns out I only took pictures of the top I’m selling, but I’ve got one that’s color matched to my car and another in “Montreal Blue.” That one I plan on selling with the hopes of making back the money I spent on the shipping for both tops.

Wheeled the truck and had my first extended highway drive. I need to make some adjustments to the tune because the engine is pinging at 2500rpm while doing 75mph uphill

    Fun car update...

I got the hard top mounted. The alignment process was a pain in the butt and involved a lot of installing and removing of the top, but I think I finally got it right. There’s no whistling on the highway and I’ll wash the car soon to check for water leaks. The cabin is so much quieter on the highway now, and it actually feels like there’s more head room. I like it a lot!

Wow! That hard top looks really good.

If you ever happen to be in Munich, Germany take a tour of the BMW manufacturing plant and check out the museum.
    Both are very impressive.

Edit: just be careful. They were making M4 parts. I’ve been lusting after an M4 ever since.

Thanks! I would love to do a tour of Europe to hit all the big name car manufacturing plants and museums. A friend of mine just sold his M4 recently and it made me sad. I loved that car... gray with red interior and a manual trans
