Just tuned @vurnttoast and 2 of his friends with the KDMax tune. Hopefully he chimes in to give some personal insight after driving it for a couple days.

Just got one of my coworkers tuned up, did a little seat time in his 6in 33’s lifted taco and he is loving it.
I would @ him but he’s just a tacomworld lurker no profile yet.

And to people wondering how the tune was made and tested, here’s a quote from the makers themselves.

I've been watching this thread for a bit now. Been thinking about going up a size in tires. Wanna go from 265/75r16 to 285/75r16. I found out that Costco can do it for me no problem, only thing that has me hesitant is the power loss. This tune is relatively cheap, will it help mitigate the effects of the power loss?

The effects of power loss will be there due to more rotating unsprung mass.
Where this tune will help is, 1. Open up power and torque where it is hidden from the factory(slightly higher bump in power and torque, should you decide to opt for the tune for premium fuel 91+octane) 2. Fix the anemic electric gas pedal and give the throttle input you need to get the truck moving properly and 3. Calibrate a shift map that will suit the 33’s that you will be running.

so in short, yes this tune will in fact help especially with those bigger tires.

Nice. Im really considering the tune.
Could I get it before the tires are installed and just enjoy the added performance for the time before the tires are on? Should I wait till after I get the tires installed?

I would get it now. So you can personally compare stock to tuned to tuned on 33s.

You’ll be surprised how much better it drives even after you put your 33s on.

@VooDoo808 likewise. Mahaloz again my braddah. Happy customer here:)

Honestly I can say this is the best 300 I've spent on the truck. The power is there when I need it, no throttle lag. I push the pedal and she goes! Great tune for the everyday Maui driver. Makes passing these lolo tourists so much easier:D
