I've noticed there's not much out there as far as bumpers for these trucks. Looks like you pretty much have to add a crossmember above the spring hanger and build off that. Am I missing anything?

Yeah his looks good. It's pretty much the exact same thing as the trail gear bumper though. I just don't see how it mounts since there really isn't much to work with. My problem is that I'm not 100% sure what exactly I want

Addiced offroad bumper is nice for the 1st gen pickups. Thought about buying a winch plate and making one. Not on the top of the list though.

You think $50 a piece is a good deal for another set of doors to make half doors out of?

A guy had two doors for sale on CL awhile ago for $50.00 and I haggled him to $40.00 (i'm cheap lol) and he ended up selling them to someone else before I could get them. I just paid $60.00 a piece for the doors I got from the junk yard. Get them while you can.

Complete thirds 5.29's welded for $300 worth it? I was wanting to run my lockright and pickup a detroit for the rear but $300 seems like a good deal.

Both welded? I'd look at them very closely but that sounds like a pretty good deal. Hopefully you can still extract the old spider gears and reuse the carrier but that's doubtful. Are they 4cyl or v6 thirds?

Yeah both welded.. I'm pretty sure they are 4cyl. I asked him to send me pics of the diffs and specifically of the welds. He is pulling them tomorrow so I guess we'll see

Pretty good deal, you could swap over the ring gear to the carrier in your current diffs so you could run an open one up front. Than sell you old ones to recoup some money. They usually go for 50-100 each depending on condition.

How far did you move your hangars forward for your 63's and did you move the rear at all? How much frame did you cut off with the 8" bob? I was trying to wait till after I swap my 63's over to bob but I'm getting impatient and I don't wanna cut too much of the frame and end up not having room to mount my rear hangers

Edit: One more thing. Did you notch your pinch weld to clear the legs of the sliders? It looks like there's only room for 1"-1.5" to come at a 90* of the frame and still clear the pinch. Thanks in advance!
