So, I ordered a set of OME nitrochargers and 881 coils from DSM, they got here today. I went ahead and pulled the old crap out including the spacer lift (JUNK) selling it for $50 :D. Anyway heres a few pics...

    Before w/spacer
    [IMG]

As you can tell the factory coils are SHOT.

    And drivers side fully removed.

The new kit should be assembled tomorrow morning.

Measurements Before OME kit w/3" spacer (from ground to bottom of fender flare)

    Drivers side before w/3" spacer - 36 7/8"

    Passenger side before w/3" spacer - 37 1/4"

    Passenger side before: 37 1/4"

Fellas, I need some opionions on the next mods...

Im selling my boat and am gonna have a decent amount of dough to spend, I was thinking a Relentless plate bumper, 4xinnovations rear bumper, Dakar leaf pack, also thought of a ARB air compressor (not all at one time). Im wanting something that will be the most help offroad, IDGAF about inside mods. Any thoughts??

Na, its sits the same, actually a butt hair lower. I might get the 10mm spacer from Wheelers, so it'll sit a bit higher

How do you like the ride now? It was a firm ride for me at first, but now it feels like it's settled in nicely

I like the Elite front bumper better if you are looking for a plate bumper. Bumpers and skids would be what I would do next if I were you. Then the rear springs. I like my Dakars, but I think they're too soft without the D6XL AAL. So if you get them, the the AAL too.

I wouldn't bother with the ARB compressor unless you're going to be adding a locker. If it's just for airing up tires etc, there are better way IMO. I prefer a portable CO2 tank because they are so much faster. You could put an air tank that just gets filled with the ARB compressor and that would be ok, but personally I wouldn't use the compressor as is as my primary air source.

Thanks, Ive got skids covered, I want to go plate but the weight is whats making me wonder, I really like the style of your bumper and I imagine its alot lighter, also the price is more appealing to me and Im very fond of how high the clearance is. On the tank, I might have to look into that, Ive seen a few around here in Sears etc. Just never thought it would have enough air to pump up 4 tires.

If you are looking for CO2 tanks, check with local convenience stores. Sometimes they have old beverage tanks that they are cycling through and will sometimes have some they are willing to part with at a good price. Buying a retail tank like a PowerTank can be expensive. But a used beverage tank can be very affordable and while the 10lb size is maybe a little more manageable, I prefer the 20lb tank. It costs me about $17 to have it filled at a local CO2 place, at it will typically last me an entire wheeling season if all I do is refill tires with it. However I use the same tank for my welding projects so depending on the project I might go through 2-3 tanks of CO2 in a season. Still that's not bad. I chose to get an adjustable regulator so that I could change the output pressure in case I wanted to run air tools. I bought a used regulator from the same local CO2 place for ~$40. After purchasing hoses I was into my tank for less than $100. That's much better than a Powertank, and an ARB compressor. The CO2 is SOOO much faster at filling tires than an ARB compressor, and if you even lose a bead on a tire, the ARB may not have enough pressure to reset the bead. Not a problem with the CO2 tank.

Now if you decided to run a dedicated tank that is hardmounted in the truck and just use a compressor to keep the tank filled, than you have a great setup as well as you don't have the hassle of needing to pay to have the tank refilled, but you lose the portability of a CO2 tank.

This is my tank in the back of my truck. I purchased the bracket at a local fire extingusher supply store.

Ive never heard of filling tires with CO2, ill check into that. About your front bumper, how are you liking it as far as weight and strength?

Great in terms of weight. Strength is good too I'm sure but I haven't given it any really hard hits. Strength is not a concern for me. Also, I have winch plans that I think I can keep under 50lbs so I won't be adding a ton of weight with a winch either.

Might just stick to plate, ill keep looking around, If I go plate ill have to change the 881's to 882's, what type of spacer are you running on top of your OME's?

You might still be fine with the 881s especially if you don't add a winch immediately. I'm using a 10mm trim packer for a Jeep JK. I didn't use any of the zinc plated OME trim packers (the ones that go on the lower coil seat) just the yellow poly spacer on top of the coils.

You can weld. Make a bumper. Or buy the front and make a tube rear. And a locker for the front

Might look into the Jeep spacer.

I can weld, but ive never seen the mounting brackets or how they make the back side of a plate bumper. I was going to try to make a rear bumper and 1) Metal shop never filled my order 2) I tow a 3000lb camper.

Sooo, Ive thought of making a front bumper just dont have the design experience. :notsure:
