    How long of trip? If you can keep it under 15 mpg and guarantee no bouncing I’d try it. My bro blew out a bunch of stuff on his newish F-150... several thousand $$$ repair. Prior to seeing that, I would chance it. Not anymore though.

    We were doing a 1 foot border around our pool using smooth rocks. Our first trip consisted of 20 thick plastic canvass type bags. After we got home with the bags. I weighed several of them. The lightest one was 51lbs. l figured for a total of 1,000lbs for sure in the bed. Plus the two of us in the truck. 1,330lbs total.
    The next load we picked up 16 bags. I weighed a few of those after we got home. These bags were heavier. They weighed between 65 and 70lbs each. Larger stones. Total again about 1,000lbs plus us two.

    That's the most I've carried in the bed. The back was sagging pretty good. But we made it without any issues.
