Max extended droop specs for 2nd gen?

    Does someone know what the max droop specs are for a second generation tacoma with stock LCAs? I am looking for front and rear. Also, if someone knows what the rear would max out with on a 3" rear lift w/ Dakar springs that would be great. Thanks!

    From ride height my tacoma was 5" down 8" up in the rear.

    Defined engineering SUA, Kings 12", custom shock hoops. After revolving it was dialed in. :thumbsup: I know all the other LT guys pull a lot bigger numbers but I made mine work.

    If you can give me a few weeks (around two) I can give you the front. I plan on doing a write up on Dirt King Fab's LCA's, or at least a comparison between stock and aftermarket. Seems like everyone says they are great, but no one really has numbers showing why (other than the beef factor).

    I'll try and see if I can get a offroad Warehouse to get me numbers on an RTI ramp

    Droop will be max overall travel minus lift...right? This would vary from truck to truck if you focus just on droop.

    Edit: my phrasing above is not accurate... but I think the concept is sound...

    Regardless if you have 15" of overall travel, even if your lift takes up x amount of height the travel will still be there regardless. It will just not be a 50/50 proportionate up/ down ratio which is most desirable.

    Exactly the point I was making. Asking for droop is pretty subjective. Asking for max droop angle for LCA might be better, but will still be subjective due to the other hardware.

    Currently my cam bolts are seized and I'm planning a revamp of the front end, so this topic greatly interests me.

    I guess I am not 100% sure of the question I am asking either, but I would imagine that it would be what the LCA is capable of in terms of travel. Here is where the question is coming from :spy:

    Well I have the Dirt King Arms, nothing different in the equation minus air bumps, which collapse down to 1.125." Pretty small. With the setup of Dirt King arms and extended coilovers, The max I achieve before the UCA binds is 5.5" of overall suspension travel.

    Ahh! Max extended droop! I'll tell you now the most you will want to go for max extended droop on these trucks is 21.9" extended length measurements on the truck. You can get away with 22" but I wouldn't go further than that. Any 6" stroke shock will work just fine. Mine are 6.5" stroke and they fare out just fine in the setup. You just should be bumped and strapped at the correct heights.
