I figured I would get it, see what it would take since all I have is pictures to compare and if it looks like to much, replace the rack with the current one. Planning on running any promotions for the holidays?

Installed my New 14inch long bed Aluminum Max Modular KB voodoo rack with Tonneau cover mount on my short bed Tacoma this past weekend!! Quality and Build materials are A+++ But build instructions is VERRRYYYY Vague. I mounted my Side bars first to find out that it made it hard to install the top bars. I had to loosen up the bolts to the side bars then fenagle the top bars without scratching the powder coating. After tightening all the bolts I was ready to mount it to the bed of the truck but for some reason there was about an inch of space between the Tonneau cover brackets. I had to do some pushing and pulling in order to thread my bolt in.

Also a LONG bed rack does fit on a short bed Tacoma - Just get your self a longer M6 Screw and your golden! See Pics below and excuse the stacking of washers. I couldn't find the right width washer so the bolt head wouldn't go through the tonneau cover mount.

    Quick Question KB voodoo.
    1. Whats the point of the slide bar shims?
    2. Do you have any eye bolts you recommend?

So if I were to by the bedrack mount it would match the hole pattern on the voodoo rack?

    Do you have pics?

I used the universal mount that came with it and only used 2 bolts on the top. Not all the holes line up.

Are you looking for pictures of the mount attached to the rack or how the waterport attaches to it?

I installed a bracket on the outside (drivers side) and one on the inside (passenger side) for traveling. The holes do not line up with the KB Voodoo holes, but I just drilled two new holes and painted the exposed metal. My rack is the aluminum version. See pics..sorry about the sunlight..

    Thanks!

Thanks. Now I hope one of those folks shows up with a picture!

After some quick measurements I think I can mount the Max Modular TACO tonneau brackets between the mounts for my Extang Trifecta 2.0 Tonneau.

Purchased the 18" for my short bed on top of the Backflip Revolver. Worked out perfect. I'm very excited to have both the cover and the rack together. I hit the same snag that The_Family_Taco mentioned about there being a big gap connecting to the mount, but Voodoo was quick to respond to email. It fit fine after loosing the top bolts a bit while doing the attachment.

The 18" + 2.5" standoff is perfect if your trying to get close to even with the cab. I mostly wanted for longboards and paddle board hauling. This height turned out prefect.

The revolver is more than just a bit tight after install, but I had also run a 1/4" of weather stripping to try to keep water out of the new gaps. So it may not be a problem if you dont add that in...Even with the weather stripping I was able to do a tad bit of sanding and then it laid down fine.

I'm looking to get the iKamper Skycamp 4x on my taco and these racks seem to be the go-to. After reading through a lot it's still not clear to me if the RTT will clear the cabin and sharkfin with the 18" Taco MAX?

Any advantages with going with the 58" vs the 46" rack specifically for the iKamper?

I can’t answer your first question. But the second 46” vs 58” really comes down to looks. I did the 58” because I like how the longer rack looks with a bigger tent. I had a smittybilt XL tent that hanged over the back a bit. It also gives the tent really good support. Also if you end up getting the cargo max or something you get more storage space
